After painting nearly 160 British football grounds I'm broadening my horizons and painting some football clubs that habitually play in the Champions League. I will also be going retro and painting some old or former British league grounds along the way.
Im not going alphabetical but have started with A.F.C Ajax. It's hard to believe the Johan Cruyff Arena (Formally Amsterdam Arena) is now over 20 years old. I recall being quite amazed that it was to have a retractable roof. A football stadium then with a roof was unheard of in my World.
Im more than happy with the final score on this one. I think its turned out great and one of my best to date. I believe the new line in subject matter has inspired a step change in technique and execution. I just hope it lasts!
